Black Seeded Simpson is an old favorite - both because of it's flavor and because of it's earliness. Large upright plants with large loose light green lightly crumpled leaves. Inner leaves blanch almost white. Full sized leaves can be harvested in just a little over a month and "greens" can be harvested in three weeks. Withstands a lot of adverse conditions including some drought, some frost, and some heat. 40 days. Approximately 1700 seeds per 1/16 ounce packet.
